Why BetweenShifts

The shift ends. The weight doesn't.

Healthcare work is heavy. Long shifts, hard cases, the weight of decisions that affect real lives. BetweenShifts is a quiet place between those moments, somewhere to track how you're really doing, talk to mentors who've been there, and share what only colleagues understand.

What's inside

Daily check-in

A 30-second mood check that builds a personal pattern over time. See which shifts drain you and which ones lift you back up.

Mentor sessions

Book 1-on-1 conversations with experienced healthcare workers who understand what you're carrying. Async messaging or live chat, on your schedule.

Community forums

Threads grouped by topic, including long shifts, parenting in healthcare, career questions, and more. Post, reply, or just read. For healthcare workers helping each other through the work.

Safe Space threads

Some things need to be said anonymously. Safe Space threads keep every reply anonymous, so people can share what they couldn't put their name to.

Mentors

Talk to someone who's been there

Mentors on BetweenShifts are experienced healthcare workers. People further down the road, talking with those still walking it. Not therapy, not medical advice. Just experience, passed on.

Are you an experienced healthcare worker who'd like to get paid mentoring others? We'd love to hear from you.

About

Built by a small team in Sweden

BetweenShifts is made by A&S Health Handelsbolag, a two-person company based in Sweden. We're building this because the people we know who work in healthcare needed a place like this — and we couldn't find one we'd trust them with. So we made it.
