1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Betweenshift, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and A&S Health HB.
2. Eligibility
Betweenshift is intended for users aged 16 and older. You must use the service lawfully and provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
3. Healthcare context disclaimer
Betweenshift is a peer-support and community application. It is not a substitute for medical care, mental healthcare, therapy, or emergency services. If you are in crisis or believe you may be a danger to yourself or others, contact emergency services or your local crisis line immediately.
Mentors on Betweenshift are peers — experienced healthcare workers — not licensed clinicians acting in a clinical capacity. Their guidance is shared experience, not medical advice. Use your professional judgment and seek qualified professional support where needed.
4. Account responsibilities
- Keep your password confidential and use a unique password.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else log in as you.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. User content rules
You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit your content within the service so that we can operate it. You may not post:
- Identifiable patient information (PII or PHI). Never share patient data, even partially de-identified.
- Medical advice presented as professional clinical guidance.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or unlawful content.
- Spam, advertising, or solicitation.
- Content that infringes third-party rights or violates law.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Mentor program terms
Mentors receive payment for sessions they provide. We retain a platform commission, the rate of which varies based on a mentor's tenure and activity. Specific commission rates are disclosed to mentors at onboarding and shown in the mentor dashboard.
Mentors are independent contractors, not employees of A&S Health HB. Mentors are responsible for their own taxes, social contributions, and any professional licensing requirements that may apply in their jurisdiction.
7. Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also accept Stripe's terms.
- Sessions are charged at the time of booking. Funds are held during a 24-hour dispute window after the session ends, then released to the mentor.
- Refunds: if a mentor does not show up, or if the session has a documented technical failure, contact us and we will refund the session. We may also refund at our discretion for goodwill cases.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the community or to A&S Health HB.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from mentor sessions or community participation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, A&S Health HB is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes shall be brought before the competent Swedish courts. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence are not waived.
12. Changes to terms
We will post updates on this page and notify users in-app for material changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
